Log in as admin on the console or over SSH and you
land at the innovexus> prompt. It is a closed command set — there is
no Linux shell behind it, by design.
$ssh [email protected]
Innovexus appliance v2026.08.25 — type 'help' for commands
innovexus>
Session behavior. An idle session logs out after
15 minutes. Five wrong passwords lock the account for 15 minutes
(recovery paths if it’s truly lost). One-shot use
works too: ssh admin@<fqdn> show status runs a single command and
exits — handy for monitoring scripts.
show — inspect the appliance
Command
What it shows
show version
Appliance software version, hostname, uptime.
show status
Every service with its state
(running / initiating / failed / stopped) and whether the web UI
actually answers. The first thing to run when something is wrong —
how to read it.
show network
Interfaces, addresses, routes, DNS in use.
show hostname
System hostname and configured FQDN.
show time
Clock, timezone, NTP servers and sync state
(details).
show certificate
The HTTPS certificate being served:
subject, validity, SHA-256 fingerprints of the leaf and root CA.
show setup
The saved first-boot answers (secrets excluded).
show logs [service] [n]
Last n lines (default 50) of a
service log, e.g. show logs nginx 100.
show disk
Filesystem usage and unallocated disk space.
show tech
Everything above in one dump — attach it to a
support case: ssh admin@<fqdn> show tech > tech.txt
configure — change the appliance identity
Command
What it does
configure network
Re-runs network setup (DHCP / static IP,
gateway, DNS). Stops the web UI while it runs.
configure hostname
Changes the FQDN. Re-check the
certificate afterwards — the name and the cert must agree
(TLS).
configure tls
Re-issue or import the HTTPS certificate.
configure ntp
Change NTP servers and the timezone —
applies live, no service restart.
configure all
Walks the complete first-boot wizard again,
with previous answers replayed.

means.
backup — snapshots and export
Command
What it does
backup status
Lists the nightly snapshots held on the
appliance (newest first, 14 kept).
backup now
Takes a snapshot immediately; the application
keeps running.
backup export
Stages the newest snapshot for download
over SCP. Full walkthrough: Backups & export.
storage — disk space
Command
What it does
show disk
Filesystem usage for the system disk, the encrypted
application volume and the image store, plus how much of the virtual disk is still
unallocated.
storage extend
Grows the system filesystem, online, into any
unallocated disk space. Use it after enlarging the appliance’s virtual disk in
vSphere / Workstation / Hyper-V: the partition, LVM physical volume and root volume
are each extended to the maximum available. Nothing is shrunk; no reboot needed.
Accounts & recovery
Command
What it does
password
Change this CLI administrator’s password.
web-admin list
List the web application’s administrator
accounts.
web-admin reset
Break-glass reset of a web administrator’s
password (and optionally a lost security-key requirement) —
walkthrough.
recovery-key status
Is an administrator recovery key set,
and since when?
recovery-key regenerate
Issue a new recovery key — shown
once, record it. The old key stops working.
Diagnostics & power
Command
What it does
ping <host>
ICMP reachability, 4 probes.
nslookup <name>
Resolve a name with the configured DNS.
traceroute <host>
Network path to a host.
clear
Clear the screen.
reboot / halt
Reboot or power off the appliance
(asks for confirmation).
exit
Log out.
What the CLI deliberately cannot do
No shell, no file access, no package installs — the operating system is
not an administration surface on this product.
Input is never interpreted by a shell: pipes, ;, globs and
path tricks are just invalid command text.
Product configuration (users, policies, integrations) lives in the web UI,
not here.
